My stove went down..
With some checking found it's the pressure switch!

So, what the heck is this and why is it there?

I'm about to bypass it to get the stove running, but....

I'm sure there's a good reason it's there

It's there so the stove doesn't keep feeding in the event of a glass failure, door being left open, etc

Really! That's it!!
I have to tell ya, I have started her backup..

She's in the basement workshop
Have some workshop things to do
Been watching her to be sure she's good
Never saw her run so good...
Reason why I asked..

Just a safety of door or broken glass, aye...

Then I'm happy without it!
She's smiling and burning!

Any other reasons I should replace it?

Venting plug up and send all the ugly into home and kill ya. Yes its dam important.

Ordered it!

I couldn't believe USSC wanted $100 for what I just bought on Amazon for $16

Cant believe the want around $400 for a control board for their stoves. Don't make a very good product and s@$#$ you when it needs parts out of warranty.

Funny you should mention control board..

Had an exhausting conversation about the board with them when I first bought it.
I was after the schematic to re-wire it and correct the problems
They claimed it was propitiatory..
I told them the only thing propitiatory is the mis-build..

They sent me a new one...
Same issues..

They didn't wish to be helped..

They might not know if they let the Chinese engineer it.
