Question:

I have a freestanding Preway Stove which was probably manufactured in the early '70s. It is circular and has a half-moon opening on one side. I would like to relocate this stove in my home and convert it to gas. Is this possible and do you have any information on this stove or parts available. I cannot find the model number.

Answer:

Company is long out of business. It will be difficult to find any information, manuals or parts on the unit. It is probably OK to convert to gas logs as long as the logs are fully or partial vent, they fit, and the minimum flue size is 8". These are the requirements for converting generic wood fireplace to gas.
