At first, I thought we were having an earthquake, but then I traced the periodic sound to my Hearthstone propane stove. I'm not sure yet what exactly is rumbling, but it's making the whole stove vibrate the floor. It rumbles for a count of 3 and then stops. It just started this evening and it's only happening when the flames are going. When it reached the temperature set, it went back to standby with just the pilot on and no more rumbling. Any ideas what could be causing the rumbling?

That sound usually indicates a misaligned burner on the burner orifice.
The orifice injects the stream of fuel to the center of the burner tube,
& if misaligned, some of the gas flows out the side of the air shutter.
It can be ignited there, & that burning causes a rumbling or a "freight train" kinda sound.
See if there is a way to check that & correct it.
