Hello

I have a 30k BTU LP ZC DV FP and was wondering if a LP 30k BTU stove would give more heat?

Does anyone have LP stove experience?

30K is 30K, & that value is the INPUT rating.
The amount of heat OUTPUT is based on the efficiency of the unit.
30K x 75% = 22.5K...30K x 80% = 24K, so you have to
compare apples to apples...
It may feel like you're getting more radiant heat from the stove
because you have more hot surfaces exposed, & the cooler air below
will convect upwards as it gets warmed by those surfaces, but
you may NOT be burning the same amount of fuel due to the efficiency...
If you think you need more heat distribution, put a blower in the fireplace
& turn on a ceiling fan or two...

Yes, I have the optional blower for the fireplace and a ceiling fan. The fireplace is hooked up to a Honeywell 5-2 programmable thermostat mounted on the wall and keeps the livingroom a comfortable 70 Degrees. Was thinking about a stove for the basement.
