Tragic for sure. However, the article really does not say much of any value. Also, fire departments also tend to always blame a wood stove if a house burns down. That may or may not be true.
 
One of my pet peeves . . . so often it seems as though the investigators can figure out the rough location of the fire and in fact it may have been near the woodstove . . . but they fail (and often cannot due to the damage) say that the fire was caused by the woodstove . . . but it was installed too close to a wall, had improper floor protection, someone placed their chainsaw full of gas too close to the stove (actually happened), someone left hot ashes on the wooden floor in a plastic pail, etc.
