I looked for a previous thread(that I can't find) that had this fan http://www.amazon.com/Pellet-Blower...TF8&colid=347A45Q2D2EH4&coliid=I2NSEE3WQ4052D as a replacement for a CB1200i.I was going to buy one but the price went up to $160 so I didn't get it. Can anyone verify that this fan would indeed work in the Quad?

Yes it will work. But.... You will need to overcome the the noise difference (different motor/different bearings/different sound) and also bore out the 6 holes about 1/32".
I bought this motor as a spare for the shelf and installed it 2 yrs ago (for about a week). Sounds like a Turbo spooling up
