Hello

This is a strange issue. Why is this happening?

Most of the time when it gets going it goes on and off with the T-Stat.
There was one cycle at noon time it did not start.

Today I tried to start the stove and it was 43 Deg F.

It did not lite after 8 mins so I took a look in the burn pot.
Do not have a measuring cup but I got PICs

There was 6 pellets in there and the Ignitor was on. The burn pot was cleaned before this attempted start.
See 1st Pic

The hopper is 3/4 full
See 2nd pic

I pressed reset and now it dumped an appropriate amount of pellets in and whala it started fine!!
See pic 3

When are you going to replace that capacitor?

6 pellets... Thats not SOP.

What Smokey said. That Cap is no good Don.

Have you stayed out there and watched numerous starts? 6 pellets should seem highly noticeable. The Quad "Tinks" with every pellet drop. I can be 2 rooms away and know when my stove is starting (can hear the tinking farther away than the combustion blower)

I knew you would ask that. LOL

Just got off the phone with the local dealer and he had one for $12.00 !!

So I will be getting it soon!!

Hello

Well, I tried stove this AM at 40 Deg F and it started fine!!

see thread “Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200FS died, quit, just stopped working tonight!!! ?#%&## KaPut!"
https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/91793/

Could very well be the AC cord. Will do more testing!

These stoves are built like tanks!!

Hello

Since I put the New AC cord in, it has started every time!!! Which goes to show Pellet Stoves need good electrical connections!!!

Operating as it should??? The new owner will be very happy when you sell it. As it now operates as it should. Starts every time, the First time.

Good to see this issue resolved. ;-)

Thanks Smoke Show!!

That also reminds me that Scott W told me how he checks the AC Wall outlet with the DVM for 120 volts sometimes! Most of our homes are fine but he has been in places that are not 120 volts AC and it causes real crazy problems with pellet Stoves!!!
