Hello!

Off to a new season!

I tend to purchase my pellets at the local Tractor Supply. This year, in addition to a pallet of "Nation's Choice" (which I had a bad experience with last year), they are now receiving pallet loads of "Cheat River Hardwood Pellets". Has anyone had any first hand experience with this brand of pellet? I do not know what varieties they have. From through the white plastic shrink wrap, it looks like the pellets TSC has are in a white plastic bag with black lettering.

Any observations, positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated!

i tried about 6 bags of them last year, and compared to Presto's, Stove Chow, Green Team, Green Supremes, and Nature's Heat, they were the worst of the lot, at least in my stove. They left a huge amount of ash and very little heat. You may have a different experience, but that was mine.

Burned a few last year, they were better than Stove Chow and Green Supreme for me. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. Decent shoulder pellet, but you might want something hotter for the colder months. My 10-CPM eats up the ash, so I can't comment on that.

I bought some from TSC last season. Seems like lower heat output to me. I don't plan on buying any more unless I have to.
