    Sounds good, but call me when they make vaguely affordable solar roof tiles... because then I am going to turn this contemporary monster I live in into the largest solar producer on the east end!

    This technology has been out for a couple of years, but it is making slow progress: Quantum Dots wear out pretty fast, and they are not cheap to make.

    There IS a company make solar panal roof tiles out of scrap Silicon (from semiconductor / chip manufacturers). Commercially available.
