I have a request for someone that has a Napoleon 1402. I am trying to figure out how far the insert will come out on the hearth including the draft control pushed in and pulled out.

I am wanting to put the stove in a high traffic area but don't want the draft control sticking in the middle of the walk way, just seems like something to bang your shin on if it sticks out too far.

I looked on Napoleons website and pulled up the manual for the stove but it really does not give this measurement. I'm guessing it is going to stick out about 13inches with the draft pulled all the way out but that is just a guess.

Thanks for all the help.

When I get off shift in the morning, I will go measure. 13 would be a good guess, but I will give you an exact.

We have a 1450 which is very similar to the 1402 and the control rod stick out about 8" from the front of the stove when it's out all the way. This is about 4" out from the edge of the ash lip. Hope that helps.
