Does a pellet boiler require a Class A chimney, like a wood stove or firewood boiler?

If not, what's the spec/standard?

Depends on what boiler you are looking at. The owner's manual should indicate what it requires.

I'm working on the manual for the new Orlan (EKO) pellet boiler. 30 KW/100Kbtu. The manual I've got is a translation from Polish, and it refers to European standards, which I'm not familiar with and which don't apply here in any event. So the manual will say whatever I put down.

You got me stumped there.

I have heard of them needing 4", 6", and 12" (950,000 btu corn boiler).
