Ran gas line, won't hold pressure?

One of our plants had a vapor deposition area, but I never worked there. I did work a lot on a Steigerwald EB hole driller. It used a state of the art PDP8 computer. It was a pretty good machine, hardly ever any leaks, but it ate a filament every 8 hours, and it took about ½ hour to install and adjust a new one. I didn't work on any of the pipework, that was a mechanics' job. I did the electronics.
