So I decided to try using another method to remotely control my ecoteck elena.

I used the same method for my vogelzang vg5790 and it worked flawlessly.

The only caveat with this method is you don't get any feedback from the stove itself, but I have a 100% success when I use it .

So first piece that's needed is the harmony hub and get an account setup.

Once that is done, you need to program the original remote to the hub. It takes several Tris, but it will eventually work. I found aiming the remote close to the front at 3-4 inches away worked best.

Once the hub is programmed, all you need to do is place the hub within line of sight of the control panel.

Once it's all setup, you simple use youe phone to power the stove on or off, and for mine I added power levels .If you only need the on/off function you can just learn the power button and that's it.

This method will work with almost any stove with an ir remote.

Remember to only press the button once on the phone, otherwise you will cycle it on then off.

Here are some pics of the setup. If
