Looking for a fitting that I could attach to a large propane cylinder (420 pound, aka 120 gallon) to my BBQ grill . . . do they make such a thing?

Or check with your supplier, they should have what you need. Possibly free since you are buying propane from them.

I am certain that it can be done but it might take a few fittings. Heck, people feed their homes with a tank and then use their home to feed their bbq.

Is your grill already set up for propane? Conversion kits are available for some grills, not all. Owner's manual may say if it can be converted, if it's not already set up for propane. What's the grill brand?

I'd contact propane supplier and grill manufacturer.

Here's Weber: https://www.weber.com/US/en/blog/burning-questions/can-i-convert-my-gas-grill/weber-29870.html

You need to change some thing on the grill, too.

Check out the hose coming off of your grill, a lot of times you can unscrew the tank connection and just have a female NPT thread. From there it's just some copper line and an adapter to get to the correct flare/NPT.
