Question:
I have an old parlor stove that is being used in the kitchen. I am interested in using peat bricks in addition to wood. Any idea where I might find a source that is reasonable? I live in central Virginia.
Answer:
There are few- if any- reliable and cheap sources of solid fuel peat in the US..Sorry..Some Agway's sell certain "brown coals" that may work for you.
Also, there are some companies that sell manufactured firelogs which can be burned in closed stoves. However, make certain that the product you choose specifically states this on the label.
