Question:

I am having difficulty finding pre-made wall protection in my area. Does anyone make a product like this? Or- how about some simple directions for making it myself... any info you can give me would be appreciated.

Answer:

2 methods of making it yourself.
1. Sheet metal- just 24 gage or so- spaced one inch out from the wall with a ventilated air space behind it qualifies.
2. Cement board- such as durarock and wonderboard (often used as a tile backer board)- can also be used in this matter. Follow the directions from the manufacturer. You can then apply tile or 1/2 bricks over this surface.
