It's quite amazing how trees reach and contort themselves to catch the rays of the sun. You'll notice the Beech tree to the left. It's got a Bonsai tilt going to catch the mid to late day sun. I just took the photo the other day after a snow storm.

Beech saplings are amazing at this! When I trim the sides of my trails the away branches will begin sprouting a full 360* back toward the opening!
 
Are some trees more intelligent than others?
