Admin, is that the big tree at the center of Mt Holyoke College?

Cool pics! I get distracted looking at the big trees when my DW and I drive through old towns. I always think about what happened during its life, right near it- especially when I'm in maybe Conord or Bedford MA.

^Holy Cow as I was looking at your 1st pic I was trying to recollect the biggest trees I've seen around CNY...and the trees that came to mind were some beech tree's I saw at a gravel pit near Auburn NY 25years ago. Is beech noted for getting real big? I dunno haven't seen any since but those I saw in Auburn were a show stopper for me cause I've never seen anything so big before...including those monster city elms of the 60's.
