I emailed my pellet supplier earlier today asking about their annual spring pre-buy. Here's the reply I got.
"Tim the early pre buy will happen just trying to get a better idea on the
price. Will be meeting with some of the venders in about a wk and we will
reach out to you when we have the new prices. No the pellet shortage will
not have an impact on the prices. We will be bringing in about 2500 tons
this yr."
