I have a regency GFI55 insert and want to get a back up ignitor (GF55-004).
http://www.regencypartsstore.com/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=GFI55

However, they are stupid expensive like all Regency garbage. Can i just buy a cartridge heater and reuse the body assembly? I new cartridge heater element would be like $20.00. If so does anyone know the size of the heater element? I'm thinking it is 6" 3/8 diameter? Something like:

Anyone have any idea, if it would work?
thanks
