Hi trying to figure out how to remove a Triac off from the PCB board?
It is a Baby Magnum RP2007 board.
Seems to be glued I don't know?
Anyone remove one from a PCB board before?
The Triac is shorted it kept my auger going soon as stove was turned on,
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

PM Stovensen as he repairs stereo equipment I believe. He has a very good electrical knowledge of pellet stove controls anyway.

A pic might help. If the back is a heat sink it could just be stuck down really good with heat sink compound. As far as un- soldering I would recommend the minimum heat needed and use some solder wick. The wick does a great job of pulling all the solder up and out of the joint. Good luck.

Hi I got the Triac off.
It was like glued and looked like soldered from back of board to front corner of the Triac heatsink?
See pics.
Now waiting for new Triacs from mouser.
Thanks for help.

Will post if fixed the problem or not once I replace the Triac.
