I decided to remove the liberties air control assembly today and clean it. It really wasn't making any noise just very hard to push and pull. There was a lot of dirt and ash in the assembly. I think some of it found its way down throw the dog house air hole. When I removed the assembly I was expecting the pressure plates to come flying up in my face but the springs are under very little tension. Cleaned the parts of the assembly that slide and vacuum the whole thing out then whipped it out with a wet rag, reassembled and it works just as smooth as it did when the stove was brand new. I think this is going to become part of my yearly cleaning of the stove.
