Question:

Is there anything that breaks down glazed creosote,(level 3)? What is the method used to clean it off, and is it more flammable than "normal creosote".

Answer:

It is highly concentrated and very difficult to remove. Yes, if you do ignite it, it does burn longer and hotter than regular "tar". There are two methods you can use for removal.
1. Slow method - Use some of the catalytic chemicals such as ACS (Anti-Creosote) over a period of them they turn the glazed creosote to a powder than will clean easier.
2. Fast Method - Professional chimney sweeps have industrial chemicals that can do the job immediately..however, this is not a DIY job and can be quite expensive.
