I would like to remove the front plate off my insert so I can possibly install a block plate or roxul. Does anyone know how I do it? The bypass and the burn rate controller somehow have to be removed, I don't know how to do that. And then I need to get the facing off somehow.

Also, i am wondering whether it will be worth the effort?

Unscrew the handles on the bypass rod and primary air. The face plate just slides right off. Then you have to list the surround slightly and pull towards you. Easy on, easy off.
