I am replacing the exhaust blower gasket today on my Mt Vernon - unfortunately I think I will be using the stove soon. I bought the reuseable gasket and it appears to be a rubber-like substance. My question is do I need to lubricate the gasket when I put it on? If so what do I use?

No. I've been installing mine dry for 5 years.
