Indeed it was.

Their getaway vehicle once they landed was an Escalade...Like WTF. At least pick a non-stand-out-like-an-elephant vehicle such as a 1990s Honda Civic hatchback!

I once worked in an office on the third floor and a bank was across the alley. One day one of the men in the office hollered out "Holy s___t, the bank's just been robbed!" as he just happened to be standing by a window and was looking down when he saw three masked men carrying money bags & brandishing hand guns while running in the alley towards the building we were in. Their get away car was parked right below our window, three floors below us.

The dumb robbers drove off in an orange colored car!

They were caught within an hour.

In 1985 we were sitting in the "bullpen" of a large real estate office negotiating on this house. All of a sudden cops started pouring in the door and taking over desks for a command center. Somebody was robbing the bank across the street and holding hostages. I was on the phone with the builder and the hostage negotiator was on the phone a few desks away. They finally made the arrest and we bought the house about the same time that afternoon.
