Roof mount solar/windmill combo?

    We caught a bit about a small roof mount unit that is a combo of both a solar panel and windmill. We've been kicking around the idea of a small windmill for our cottage, and this seemed interesting. Anyone know anything about them?

    Southwest power makes a popular small wind turbine: http://www.windenergy.com/

    Have not seen a combination PV and wind unit.

    Mounting a turbine directly to your roof may not be a good idea as it can transmit a lot of noise and vibration into the structure.
