How do you get the room fan going again please? Mine seems to have failed. Can I safely run the stove without running fan?

Are you comfortable using a voltmeter? Can check that the fan is getting power.

Clean and oil it, even then it may not work and running with out the room fan is likely to result in high temperature shut downs.

    Hello

The room fan turns on when the snap disc mounted on the exhaust blower reaches approx 120 Deg F. See the red arrow in the pic below. If this disc is bad and stuck open the room blower will not turn on. If the room blower does not turn on the stove will overheat and trip the Hi Limit snap disc.

Also if the room blower has ceased up and not working then it will not turn on.

Yes I can use a voltmeter. Once the stove has cooled, it was charging along at 420 degrees with Black Hills, will the power lugs be obvious?

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. I am from the other side of the pond.

Follow the wires to and from the fan. Look for spade connectors or connection points to probe.

take the 2 spade connectors off the disc in the picture and connect them using preferably a jumper wire using a wire with 2 male spade connectors .

Ok, A continuity checker of Volt-Ohm meter will only show Zero ohms when your stove is cool when testing the snap disc.

Remove the wires from the snap disc and connect them together. Turn the stove on and if the room blower comes on in 5 or 10 minutes like it normally does then the snap disc is bad. :)

I assume I should not run the stove ny-passing the snap disc because it would not shut off if it overheated.
