have any of you out here ever try to seal up the damper area of the defiant? i sealed the damper with rope gasket on the top and sides where the damper touches the stove when closed and cemented in a rope to fit under the rod that goes thru the damper on the bottom and this did well until now. it took three years but the bottom piece let go. anybody have a better idea for the bottom because of the movement?

thanks
frank
