Does anyone have one? Has anyone fabricated one?

I have a Bobcat with Auxilary hydraulics and I'm one for "minimizing the number of motors in the garage". I goggled "skidsteer log-splitters" and came up with this.

Their 20 ton with free shipping is the same price for a new 12ton tow behind gas unit. Question is, will 20 ton be sufficient? Also, does the skidsteer need to be at high idle to operate?

That looks like a ramsplitter. The manufacturer has a web site, http://ramsplitter.com/.

To figure out what the splitting force really is and what the cycle time will be use these calculators:

Code:

Code:

You will need to calculate your flow at high idle. Use the following formula, assuming you have a single stage main pump, like most tractors. I'm not that familiar with skidsteers.

Actual GPM = Rated GPM @ valve or port x Desired RPM/Max RPM
