    Since Sandy I have more pine than I ever wanted. Do I need to split the any of these? (Not referring to the large rounds on the bottom) I expect to use the branches next year.

    I leave everything under 6 inches unsplit.

    Small diameter pine dries ok without splitting.

    I usually split right down to 4" or so. Makes great kindling.
