I am considering adding a wood stove to a den in my house, but space is limited and this will require a small stove.

I'd like top loading stove. I have looked around and what I have found is smaller stoves are front loading and the top loaders are larger stoves. I am only heating about 1,000 drafty sq ft with den and adjucent rooms.

I'd like a quality epa stove. Any recommendations for a small top loading stove?

Thanks!
Bill

The only small top loading stove I can think of is a VC Intrepid II.

Yes, the Vermont Castings Intrepid II is a wonderful stove. We just retired ours after 18 years. It heats great for the size and the top loading is a very nice feature.
