I am getting ready to change mine this weekend.

Currently the pipe comes out, does a 90 bend, goes up 4 ' then does a 90 bend into a Metalbestos T with clean-out, then straight up, like Paula Abdoul.

If I count correctly, that's 3 90's.

My plan is to come out2-3 feet horizontal, level with GW exit, to the same Metalbestos T, then straight-up. The addition of more 8" insulated SS, the reduction of single thickness stove pipe and the elimination of two 90's I am hoping will increase draft. . . and lighten my wallet some more.

Anyone know how much metalbestos can be supported with the standard brackets?
