We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.
We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
checked my chimeny outside and found this in the photos the cap had a taste of creosote but the inside the pipe looks ok right?this is after about 3 fourths a cord
I would run a brush through that, but it's not bad at all. Very little if any creosote in the flue photo. A few whacks with a wire brush will clean that cap right up.
If you don't have a brush or a sooteater, they're not expensive, and it's nice to be able to sweep the flue whenever you get the chance.
