I guess I don't see the problem. It didn't appear that he was being a prick, just that (for whatever reason) he is very specific about what he wants. Am I missing something?
 
beggars mustn't be choosers.
 
Outdoor boiler so he wants bigger pieces and probably doesn't want to pay the premium for seasoned wood, I see no problem with his ad.

I think he is paying for it but wants to pay as little as he can and is adament what he will and will not pay for.
