Sooteater and SS liner

I did a search on the sooteater and didnt find much of its use in a ss liner. I think it was highbeam that said it dented his. How many use them in a liner (from below) and have you had any issues?

my chimney is a real PITA to get to due to my roof pitch. the sweeps i have used in the past have literally had to "jump" on and off of it to my roof peak.

bottom up sounds great, but does it make a huge mess?

I posted this thread a while back about how I use the sooteater. Very clean. Don't know if it will help you as all setups are different. As for denting, I haven't observed any. Just go gentle and don't slam things around and I think you'd be ok.
