Wherever we're parked
Making it about 3 weeks now before the ash pan gets packed full...
She was close last nite so I let her run dry tackled the task at 7AM...
Crazy carbon deposits at the end of the auger/entry of the burn pot,
even tho I scrape the BP a couple times a week...
1/8 - 3/16 thick. Gave the Harman scraper tool a workout, & while I've heard
others here pooh-pooh that thing, it does what it's supposed to...
Soft 3" paintbrush works wonders as well for the heat exchanger & the walls..
Ran it on test mode about 6X & managed to clear MOST of the fines out of the auger
& blew a LOT of chunky burnpole hole plugs out of the igniter cavity...
Gave my poor little Stinger Vac a work out as well, altho it doesn't get into the igniter
cavity with the attachments I have, my index finger works pretty well scooping
the debris out of there...
Even banged on the cap & vent pipe -with the unit still in test mode - & blew out some loose stuff...
Cleaned the glass & vacuumed the area & after 45 minutes poured another bag of CleanFires in & she's blazing away...
Good for another 3 weeks!
