when do the stores stop carrying splitters? I would THINK that I could get a better deal on one at the end of the selling season. Does anyone know when they start selling off for cheap?

In Oklahoma, the big box stores start clearing them out in March. The longer they have them the better the price. Still have not seen any real bargains when buying new.

The most I've seen them reduced is maybe 150...splitters are a big ticket item. skinny if you're looking for a good used one follow the estate sales in the Sunday paper ...you can luck out that way sometimes.
