Hello all, had a quick question. With a stainless steel liner, should one put furnace cement in between the stove and the adapter? What about in between adapter and liner? How should it be applied if so? Or is there a caulking material that would be better? Thanks in advance for any info.

If the fit is sloppy it won't hurt to put in some furnace cement or stove gasket material to fill the gap. If it's snug there's no need.

this. I didn't need any. everything is snug and draft pulls everything up the liner.

If you do feel the need for sealant, I would use furnace/gasket cement. The high temp silicone may not be high temp enough.
The cement can get brittle, so maybe check it after you rattle a chimney brush down it.
