I have a P61A and I'm wondering the same thing. The top seems to get plenty hot enough and the wife wants a nice decorative one. I'm kinda hesitant to drop the cash on it if it's not gonna work.

I have a stove with a evaporator pan built in and its a joke. Use it more to add scented water. If the exchanger is doing its job the top does not stay warm enough.

If you want one for looks go for it .
If it's to but moisture in the air pellet stove tops do not get hot enough
to be of much effect . Get a humidifier for that .

Try a pan of water first. Don't think it will get hot enough.

What kind of scent stuff can be put in a built-in evaporator pan?

I picked up one for 3 bucks at a garage sale. It does almost nothing for adding moisture to the air, but the wife likes the way it looks and we add oils for smell
