I was at the salvage yard today and found some 4.5" x 4.5" steel fin tube radiators. They were 10 feet long and had a 1-1/4" pipe down the center. My question is will these work almost as good as copper fin tube . I have to build my overheat loop for loss of power and also considered placing some tubes under my tile floors. They are big and heavy, but will they work?

Sure, excellent find with large tube diameter. Copper is a bit better heat conductor compared to steel, but those would be fine for a dump rad.
