Stepping down the fan speed on the Quadrafire QFI30 with remote

    Just purchased a Quadrafire QFI30 with the RC300 remote control. The remote control module provides a 3 speed fan adjustment as well as flame height selection. The reostat was removed when this module was installed. I would like to adjust all three speeds downward. I don't ever go higher than the middle fan selection but would prefer a lower low so as to reduce the fan noise. The dealer could not help. Any suggestion would be much appreciated!
