Pricey little bugger to get into if you don't already have the battery and charger for Stihl's cordless tools. Plan on about $600 to buy the saw, the high-capacity battery and the charger.

We had one here at the resort for a week to demo and it surprised me a bit. Not commercial duty by any means but the battery life was decent and all the tools did a fair job. If quiet operation is what you need, the price doesn't scare you, and you're not looking to run a business with them, the set up just might be worth it.

I was given a craftsman battery pole saw. Works pretty good for small branches.
