I thought it was a riot when I got a Stihl recall notice in the mail for the gas cap.
It doesn't seem to impact saws, but my trimmer seems to be, although I haven't checked the criteria yet.
Ethanol is the bogeyman again, acting on a seal, I think.
I still say it's a crappy design.
Sort of funny though.
 
I have a couple of the flippy caps that do not work after a while. I carry several extra of all sizes in my tool box. A cap will not stop me from taking out a tree...
 
I have had 2 go bad in a year and a half......both on trimmers and edgers.....now I carry spares. Wonder if the recall with reimburse me for those already purchased?
