Hello All;

My wife and I are building a new house. We have our chimney built and are trying to decide what kind of stone pattern to face the hearth. The hearth is about 6’ wide with the thimble for a wood stove toward the right side of the center. We will be using natural fieldstone because it’s free and I have about 15 cubic yards already delivered and ready to go.

I have already gone through the photo section for woodstove hearths and fireplaces. I’m looking for some other websites or books that give good examples of hearth projects using natural stone. Can anyone point me in a direction?

Thanks,

Hunter
