Just wanted to put this out there in hopes of maybe being able to help someone out with an option for a smaller thermal storage bank. I just removed a 2 tank commercial water softener system for one of my project sites. Believe the tanks are 300 gals. Ea. They are steel tanks with 4" female tappings in the top. 2 - 2" tappings in the vertical portion about 3' spacing between them. There is also a tapping in the bottom that had a 1" valve in it for a drain. Bottom tapping may have been bigger just bushed down ( didn't really pay much attention to the bottom half).
Tanks are 1/4 to 3/8" thick steel built on 12" support legs. Probably 6' in overall height? Tanks were in excellent condition inside and out, have removable hand holes for inspection. Anyways, hate to just throw them out for scrap cost if someone close-by might be able to use them?
