bought a few bags at the local HD and after reading the
back of the bag, it states that there made with white wood

am i correct in assuming white wood would be softwood ???

I believe whitewood refers to the fact that they are made of only the wood and not the bark of the tree. Stove Chow is a hardwood pellet.

ohhh ok that makes sense TY

I wonder if it is titanium white or lead white paint they painted that wood with get it white ....

Stove Chow is a hardwood softwood blend I believe. 80/20 or something like that.

Whitewood is used to denote misc. softwoods... at least in the pallet biz and the trucking biz...
