Saturday I will be installing my stove pipe for the first time. I read through my manual but with this site IO always looking for answers and help?

My setup:

Masonary chimney.

Clay thimble that passes through all noncombustible wall. Thimble is apporximatelly 20 inches.

Questions?

How far does the stove pipe go into the clay thimble?

Any of the refractory cement you recomend?

Does the refractory cement just go around where the stove pipe enters the thimble?

Any other suggestions or tips is greatlly appreciated...

Thanks again to everyone...
