I have a Monarch Add-A-Furnace that I just got some replacement cast iron for the interior.

The cast parts are held in by carriage (I think) bolts with nuts on them.

Of course, in trying to remove them I have sheared some of them off. It appears that the old ones were welded to the steel housing. Can I just use some stove cement and drill out the sheared ones?

What other material might work?

Pretty much.
Stove bolts are soft steel, easy to drill with new bits.
Furnace cement, new bolts, burn on!
