Good God, I love my wife! I come home from the local sportsman gun raffle (didn't win a damm thing), I walk in the door and the house is FILLED with the magical aroma of a strawberry rhubarb pie. She also decorated.the house for autumn........I am really getting excited for fall!

It looks really good. Showed my wife the pics, hoping for some inspiration. You were out at a sportsmans raffle, don't you have a ceiling to finish?;)

One of my absolute all-time favorites. When I was a kid, my maternal grandmother would bake strawberry rhubarb pie or cobbler whenever she knew I was gonna be around. Decades later (after grandma's death) I was living in Soquel CA, and I had both strawberries & rhubarb growing in my yard...so I made my own. Maybe not quite as good as grandma's, but the best I've ever made. (I like it warm with some vanilla ice cream on top ==c ). Rick

Looks great Scott... A good woman is becoming a rarity these days!

(On a side note/said it a million times!) Love the stone work in your home. Love it!!

My Wife wakes up and still makes my lunch every morning before 5am (when I work). She used to make coffee too. But I prefer my Small from Mc'D's every morning. Our Bunn makes a damn fine cup. But I am OCD and once I got one cup, it became a normal routine (Ritual) in the AM.

Thanks for the pics. Now I am gonna raid the fridge of some Greek Yogurt and blueberries and strawberries! ;)

Wow! They look great. I have the world's greatest wife and she's a great cook, but she's frigid when it comes to pies!

On a side note it's 48 degrees this morning, you gotta love that!

Beautiful pies and an awesome gesture, But Rhubarb is not for me!

You're a lucky man Scotty, but I imagine that your wife gets her love back two-fold. Thanks for sharing and I have to agree with Mad Dog, that is some awesome stone work!
